About Tom Gershwin and Perry Smith:
"Sweet Pastimes" is Tom Gershwin's debut album, which blends the sounds of acoustic guitar and muted trumpet, featuring lyrical improvisation on Tin Pan Alley, swing, and folk songs. The album was released on the Dazzle Recordings label in January, 2013, and has been aired on radio stations across the country.
Guitarist Perry Smith, who recorded and co-produced the album, will be flying in for this special performance. Perry combines his love for jazz with broad influences from rock and folk to create his signature style. Based in New York City he has worked under legends such as Dave Brubeck, Diana Krall, Nancy Wilson, Pat Metheny, Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano, and Bobby McFerrin.
