Lake Mary & The Ranch Family Band + Saskatoon + Eric Rich Ensemble Live at Leon

In honor of Jess Webb's solo exhibition, In Between Life & Death, we are proud to present a select performance by Lake Mary, Eric Rich Ensemble, and Saskatoon (featuring Jess Webb and Paul DeHaven).

Doors 7:30p

Music: 8pm-11pm

Saskatoon is a musical collaboration between lovers and friends paul Dehaven and Jess Webb. They incorporate found sounds, looping,  Rhodes, guitar, cello and electronic shenanigans. There first two albums are ambient soundscapes.  This will be there first live show.

Lake Mary:

Lake Mary is not an island. Nor a lake. Lake Mary is a billowing white canopy in which friends crouch beneath and play their instruments for a season. Some come and go. Anchoring Lake Mary as a home to return to after some spring-time roaming. Others stay for a time. Make themselves cozy, and pick and play and drone and zone for a few revolutions under radical hospitality and pro-active selflessness".  -Ryan Hall (heligator records)

The Ranch Family Band consists of dream whales, gemstars, droners, shredders, & really good swimmers. We came together in the mountains of Colorado and began to create sounds around what it means to be in community, human, animal, cosmic, and otherwise, and to also spend as much time swimming together as we can. I can't tell you how big my heart is knowing we get to get to reunion for this special night.

We invite you to partake in all of these with us.
Especially (in no particular order) music, swims, and slapshots

Eric Rich Ensemble:

Eric Rich is a self-taught pianist and contemporary composer with punk roots in Salt Lake City. Born and raised in the mountains, he draws inspiration from wilderness, anarchism, and meaningful human interaction. First turned on to minimalism through Steve Reich and post-rock via Godspeed You! Black Emperor at 20 years old, Eric Rich's music has evolved to incorporate elements reminiscent of composers Nils Frahm and Peter Broderick, and ensembles like Austin-based Balmorhea.

The Eric Rich Ensemble is a fluid organism, changing in size and scope to fit diverse compositions and venues, with instrumentation including strings, winds, vibraphone and marimba. The ensemble has performed in a public library, a piano showroom, a repurposed church, and many welcoming living rooms.

Eric Rich is joined on this tour by world traveling violist Sarah Custen (formerly toured with Will Sartain); Salt-Lake based percussionist Matt Laser (current drummer of Tavaputs); and Denver-based guitarist Chaz Prymek, also known for his work as Lake Mary.
