With #fourthworld, SDK uses natural and manmade readymade objects, recycled canvas, paint and wood, found trash from alleyways, and repurposed masks, in order to juxtapose various materials and multimedia elements to create arrangements that draw parallels between the modern and the primitive highlighting their surprising resemblance.
SDK's work mainly consists of multi-media readymade sculptures and installations, but he also dabbles in drawing and painting. SDK's influences range from postminimalism, wabi-sabi aesthetics, subpopulations socially excluded from global society, and the uncanny.
Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, SDK has been living and working in Denver, Colorado since 1999. SDK has exhibited in venues throughout Colorado, including Space Galley, The Assembly and Annex, Westword's Artopia, Kanon Gallery, Gildar Gallery, Abecedarian Gallery, Sliding Door Gallery, Communikey Festival and Indy Ink.
